RO-RO DOCUMENTS

Good afternoon,

It´s nice to join this group and help in whatever I can. I´m doing my final grade job about “Ro-Ro” vessels. I have compiled a lot of documents related to this subjcet (books in English and Spanish, IMO circs, EU Directives…); if someone needs docs about Roll-On/Roll-Off industry I can facilitate that.

Nowadays it´s not so much information about this so if someone could share information about that it would be very helpful in order to enhnace the community

Thank you a lot for the attention.

If you haven’t read this, you might, it’s one of the best stories about salvage I’ve ever read… [https://www.wired.com/2008/02/ff-seacowboys/](https://www.wired.com/2008/02/ff-seacowboys/)**Jackson Hole, Wyoming, 4 am.**
A phone rings. Rich Habib opens his eyes and blinks in the darkness. He reaches for the phone, disturbing a pair of dogs cuddled around him. He was going to take them to the river for a swim today. Now the sound of his phone means that somewhere, somehow, a ship is going down, and he’s going to have to get out of bed and go save it.

You should read up the UK MCA Maritime Accident Investigation Reports

There was one recently about a roro ferry where trucks were incorrectly lashed as well as drivers being allowed to stay in their trucks despite being against the rules. From working on RORO ferries, these two areas are a big problem throughout the industry.
