    California Maritime Academy is my school and I’m majoring in Marine engineering Technology. We get snapped up the second we graduate

    Texas A&M Maritime engine cadet here. There’s not that many engine cadets here, but that has its positives and negatives. We’re not super regimented, but a bit more uptight than Cal from what I’ve heard. I can probably answer most of your questions about the program.

    I’m a KP grad, and honestly I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the maritime academies.

    I’ve worked with AWESOME shipmates from Cal, Maine, Mass, A&M, & Suny.

    You’ll come out on the other side with the same qualifications regardless.

    I’m a KP grad and can say great things about KP, California, and Maine Maritime. I haven’t worked with enough Massholes to make an opinion of them, and I’ve only met one SUNY guy sailing. Personally, the Texas deckies I worked with just seemed…special, so I assume their engineers are the same. Your best bet is probably Maine since they seem to have a strong program. Sounds like a fun school too
