Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has cut the number of staff working in its offices in Japan further as the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) continues to worsen in the country.
MOL said it was lowering the percentage of employees working at its offices in Japan from 50% to 30% from today due to the spread Covid-19 across Japan.
There were 965 new infections across Japan on Tuesday and while Tokyo remains the epicentre of the outbreak it is spreading across the country.
“MOL will continue to give top priority and to ensure the safety of its officers, employees and related parties, and will respond flexibly in accordance with the Government Policies. MOL will take all possible measures not to cause any inconvenience to our business partners and related parties,” the company said.
