    But seriously, what exactly are you interested in doing? For less than $1500 you can get your STCW basics and that can get you on the water pretty quick.

    SUNY maritime requires SAT but I think they’ll accept ACT as well

    For cal maritime they will take you SAT or ACT scores and super score them, this means that if u did good on math one time and bad on the English section, retake it and do great on the English section, they will take the best grades from both as the final score. Then put that into an equation with your GPA. The number tells if you will be admitted.

    Yes all the maritime academies require either SAT or ACT.

    If you have an associate and transferring you can usually avoid taking the SAT.

    It depends. I’m applying for Great Lakes Maritime Academy and they are making me take the Accuplacer math test. Not sure about the others.
